There are dozens of tweets from reliable sources that state that BYU is committed to joining the Big 12 as long as Oklahoma does not leave. In other words, if Oklahoma joins the PAC-12, then BYU will remain independent. There appears to no official confirmation for either Brigham Young University nor the Big 12 Conference on this matter.
But T. Boone Pickens has changed his mind. On Saturday, he was saying the conference would not stay together. Tonight, he says it should. On Saturday, he said, "Where the Hell is Provo?" Tonight, he says the future of the Big 12 is west.
