Polite Football

Today at Stewart Stadium in Ogden, I witnessed Cameron Higgins bad day. Not one, not two but three turnovers in the red zone. And what should have been a Weber State blowout of Northern Colorado turned into a close shave. Perhaps he was mentally on the bus to Flagstaff.

To Northern Colorado I say...this is bad. You have the ball inside the 50 with a little over 5 minutes left and you are down two scores, you need to not take 4 minutes to score. If you don't get the on-side kick, the game is over.

Deron William will be out the remainder of the NBA pre-season and should be back for the beginning of the regular season. It was an ankle sprain, but it could have been worse.

TCU seemed to have looked past the big game in Norman for their home game against BYU. We will see how well that stragegy works for them. UNLV has beaten BYU twice in history...during BYU's homecoming. Will history repeat itself?

RSL needs a Colorado loss or tie tomorrow to clinch a playoff spot. Good luck to them. The CRapids are playing likely first round opponent for RSL, Chivas LA.

What's not hot? Idaho outside of Boise.
