BYU was good enough against Utah State to win the game in the first quarter and coast the rest of the way. Question is, did USU do well enough against the Y to convince more fans to come out and support the Aggeis? They need to average over 12,000 the rest of the way to stay off probation.
BYU's performance against Utah State gave Bronco Mendenhall plenty of stuff to fume about over the next week. Then the team will take it out on the New Mexico Lobos next. Then the conference schedule will get difficult for the Cougars.
The most impressive win by a Utah college football team this weekend was Weber State's big win over Montana on Saturday at Stewart Stadium. With the win, McBride's Cats are now in the Big Sky drivers seat, with Eastern Washington also loosing. Are the Cats for real? It will not take us long to find out. There is the cat fight next Saturday in Bozeman. There is also a road game coming up against Northern Arizona. There will be home games against Portland State and Eastern Washington. Certainly if the WebCats are going to win the Big Sky Conference this year, their work is cut out for them. Right now, they are looking like the team to beat.
