The Sun Belt Conference has added New Mexico State and Idaho in 2014 as football only members and will add Georgia Southern and Appalachian State as all sports members beginning in 2015. This also means that there will be a conference championship game in 2015. Appalachian State and Georgia Southern will be eligible to play in the Conference Championship game, but will not be bowl eligible until 2016.
