WSU Has a New Head Coach

***Update***

Weber State has a new head football coach.  According to KSL, John L Smith, the former head man at Idaho, Utah State, Louisville and Michigan State will be named the new Wildcat coach Tuesday morning.  Smith is also a Weber State alum who played during the Sark Arslenian days in the early 1970s, the only time in WSU's history that the 'Cats were consistently winning.

A press conference has been called for Tuesday morning.

Here is a link to Smith's coaching record.

Highlights
-At Idaho, he qualified for the FCS post-season 5 out of 6 seasons.  In 1993 he coached the Vandals in the FCS semi-finals.
-At Utah State, he was the last coach to take them to a bowl game before this season.  In 1997, the Aggies lost to Cincinnati in the Humanitarian Bowl after winning the Big West Championship.
-His best season at Louisville was 2001 where the Cardinals won the Conference USA championship and beat BYU in the Liberty Bowl.
